Our brave boys are risking their lives to make the World a better and safer place for our children to grow up in. Who would protect us from the terrorist threat if it wasn’t for soldiers?
Soldiers are always there to lend a helping hand and spare some time for us civilians. Just the other day I saw 5 soldiers giving a drunken man a practical demonstration in unarmed combat in a pub car park.
They don’t get paid much and the free accomodation that’s provided for them and their families is sub-standard.
It makes my stomach turn that the government is prepared to spend billions bailing out fat cat banks, while our boys don’t get the hi-tech weaponry that is required to kill people effectively.
They work in difficult conditions and they’re doing it for their country!

All this talk about them not getting paid enough fucks me right off! They know the pay, they know they might end up fighting a dodgy war in some far flung corner of the planet. No-one forces them to join the army. They choose to do it.
I don’t pay any tax because I’m studying for a degree in slouching, but if I did I’d rather my money went towards improving the facilities in the Uni bar than fighting wars.
Are they really fighting for their country or are they fighting to protect the interests of governments that have put us at risk as a result of their own foreign policies?

As an ex-service man myself I think that it is disgraceful that we don’t support our troops.
When I got back from the 1st Australian – American War after nearly a decade fighting in the trenches, everyone was watching TV!
