News of a recent group set up by children on Facebook caused outrage today and sparked ugly protests across the web. ‘Meet me in the park in Ten!’, created by three children (one believed to be as young as nine), encourages kids to post adverts of themselves and offer their ’services’ to local paedophiles. Despite having been created only four days ago, the group now has over five thousand members, and almost a thousand adverts from children, many of them quoting their ’special moves’, ‘locality’, and ‘price’.
For cyber warriors and vigilante super-group ‘Shut down the following groups and ban the paedos’, the news is no surprise. They have been warning of the ‘paedophile apocalypse’ for months, and have been leading a campaign to censor and clean up what used to be the world’s safest social networking site. Group leader Ricardi Melanos, who also runs several ‘dead seal tribute sites’, believes that Facebook are directly responsible and have been involved in a paedophile conspiracy. In a group update this morning, she issued this statement:
‘What did Facebook expect. For months now they have been allowing users such as Joseph Fritzl, Maxine Carr, Fred West, Jonathan Ross, and [the notorious child fondler] Paedo Bear to promote their sick activities. But would they listen? They laughed at us, called us hysterical single mothers, and sided with the pervert apologists who put their work down to a ‘bit of a laugh’. Now, as the group prophesied, children have been irreversibly imprinted with the filth and now think its ok to paedo themselves up’.
In response to recent rumours that her own child had been spotted posting adverts, Ricardi added: ‘I spend every waking hour of the day on Facebook campaigning to get various groups shut down to protect the children. The tragic news that my own child may have fallen prey to the perverts has further highlighted the importance of my crusade. If I have to, I will not sleep until Facebook bans these sick individuals and my child can be free’. Ricardi’s child, who will not be named for lack of proviso, had been upstairs online for the last day and was unavailable for comment.

I am disgusted at facebook ,they allow so much .I have reported a group called Get Jon Venables and Robert Thompson Off Facebook .To see the name of the group youd think it was aimed to ban them off facebook ,infact its the complete opposite ,it actually is administrated by people as an insult to James Bulger and His family ,it should be removed . I reported a group from facebook to CEOP yesterday, it was disgusting what those people were saying they would like to do to children. Many many people reported this to facebook and nothing was done, in the end people just reported it to CEOP. I think facebook should be liable for allowing this group on there and all those people should be banned and facing criminal charges

I am absolutely disgusted and angry with Facebook at the moment. I admit, I was really awear of this kind of thing going on until the other week… I joined a Ian Huntley (liver failure) group, that infact is a hoax and is just to wind people up and cause arguments. The wall is FULL of sick pedo comments. There are NUMEROUS discussions talking about the two little girls who were murdered – talking about them in absolutely sick ways. There are loads of threads being made talking about child molesting and pedo comments too. I have reported it as well as a good few other people… but the group remains? even worse, the threads do too? What’s the point in an effin Report buttin if it doesn’t to jack? There is a thread called “Who gave the best head” referring to two CHILDREN. Another called “RAPE GOOD OR BAD” referring to 8 year old children? What the hell is going on?
Facebook HAVE to get their backsides in gear. Facebook is just becoming a playground for these pedos to discuss with others their sick fantasies… and children can and probably will get hurt at some point… if not already.

I am pleased to say, that the Ian Huntley Liver group has now ceased. Some individuals causing trouble no longer have profiles. Facebook are closing the net. I have just secured admin of a Joseph Fritzl group and painstakingly deleted all the photo content on there.
The best weapon in getting rid of these sick individuals, is to ignore their comments, as that is what they thrive on and simply report any findings to FB. Some people have been messaging direct to these sick people.That can be your biggest mistake, as they then have access to your profile and in some cases your friends profiles.

i began a campaign in february to have paedophiles microchipped and was flooded with “trolls”, including the circle of friends mentioned and yes there are paedophiles on facebook, some of them discredit the campaign by scaremongering. It is just that i find it odd that after Ricardi Melanos child should post such material and that the child was still on the internet all day yet could make no comment. i just feel that it may be Ricardi Melanos making the comments logged in on her childs account, and secondly if it is her child then she really has to question herself because she sells certain values while sitting at a computer yet her child isn’t aware of those values and somehow through facebook (the groups the mother campaigns against) have somehow realised her mothers concerns. It all seems very convenient in proving her mothers point. I just feel that there is manipulation going on. Shame on her if Ricardi Melanos has done that.

Facebook definately has a lot to answer for ,there is no monitoring of groups ,or its contents and comments . Infact I clicked my report button at the bottom of a group ,being extremeely upset by comments made about James Bulger ,and had a report back I was commiting a violation of terms . It stated everyone is entitled to their own views whether the individual person agrees with them or not . I am not against people having views that differ to mine but when names comes up like Jon Venables as a facebook user posting comments ,and the person writes sick comments and jokes of poor little James murder ,that is not freedom of speech . This group has 185,000 members who have joined thinking they are joining a group to petition to Get Jon Venables and Robert Thompson Off Facebook ,far from it .
Anyone who speaks out against this group on there are banned from the group . Even nams like Karen Matthews have joined this group posting vile comments and jokes . Facebook is allowing everyone and anyone to slip through the net ,its a disgrace .

In fact, I am so upset by them, I am going to assume that you must be some sort of paedophile yourself. There isnt really any evidence to support this, but that doesnt matter. Have you ever touched a child’s genitals? Even if the answer is “only when I was changing their nappy”, or “Yes, but only my own genitals, when I was a child”, then the answer is still a resounding ‘yes’. As a victim of a pedo when I was younger (age 13 and the freak was 45) I know what its like to be in fear and suffer. But as I am growing older and am more careful with whom I talk to and whom I hang out with, I find it rather easy to spot horrible and discusting people.
My case was dealt with and thank the gods for my parents. As for pedos being around children and teens…it will be a never ending battle and it will be dealt with if you pay attention to your childs onlines deeds and where they go online. My mom still gets on me even though I am 28 now if she sees me with my swimsuit and a beer in my hand.
