Shadow Chancellor George Osbourne has revealed Tory proposals to beat the recession by tackling the National debt.
In a statement he said ” It’s quite simple, we plan to consolidate the National debt into one easily affordable monthly payment. We’re currently in negotiations with First plus. We haven’t got the exact figures yet, but Dave’s on the phone to them now. He’s on hold at the moment while the lady he’s speaking to checks something with her superviser.”
Alistair Darling hit back at Osbourne saying “Yeah, like the Tories thought of it first! We contacted Ocean Finance months ago. The lady we spoke to put us on hold while she checked something with another department, but we got fed up with waiting and hung up.”
Meanwhile Lib Dems have announced proposals to provide every home in the country with a computer after they struck a deal with weekly payment store, Brighthouse.
